We have a fantastic opening for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering best-in-class customer service.
In this role, you will manage the supply chain for key clients, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the entire process. Key duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from sale to delivery.
Manage PO lifecycle on behalf of the client, liaising effectively with vendors and confirming bookings via our POM system.
Proactively plan and coordinate the loading of purchase orders, issuing loading instructions to CFS (Container Freight Station) and vendors.
Manage space reservations and ensure capacity with designated carriers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, collaborating closely with Origin Partners, Operations Teams, and third-party providers to deliver a seamless logistics experience.
Maintain proactive communication with Overseas Control Towers and CFS, ensuring constant monitoring and smooth transit of cargo.
Track data and key milestones through our Supply Chain Visibility Platform, ensuring data quality and addressing any exceptions in real time.
Resolve issues related to cargo arrival and customer delivery, escalating where necessary to ensure uninterrupted planning.
Ensure full compliance with client SOPs andGlobal Warehouse Practices across all supply chain partners.
Ensure all applicable freight and charges arecollected from relevant parties (suppliers, clients, overseas control tower.
Monitor supply chain performance from origin countries with pro-active notification and effective exception manage mentreporting.
Assist with the production of accurate management reporting measuring vendors and customer performance.
Build strong relationship with client and ensure concerns/issues are dealt with effectively, efficiently and immediately.
Experience & Qualities Required:
Previous experience in import sea freight or supply chain PO management within a freight forwarding company is essential.
Comfortable in fast-paced environments; organised with strong multitasking, prioritisation, and time management skills.
Quick learner, able to handle tight deadlines and maintain focus under pressure.
Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, committed to delivering great customer service.
Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in IT (including MS Office) with a systems-oriented approach to data management.
Positive, adaptable, and flexible in dynamic environments. Demonstrated ability to meet customer requirements through strong communication and the management of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Excellent Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate potential issues in supply chain operations.
