Unsworth have built an online portal which is the central place for customers to manage the end-to-end operations and get real-time visibility into the progress of shipments, enabling customers to quickly understand their supply chains, and make better more informed decisions.

 

The Role:

·        Maintainand develop your own client portfolio by proactively managing your allocatedaccounts, ensuring quality client deliverables are achieved and maximisingpotential for growth. Positioning the company as a trusted partner in order toachieve greater lock in with the client.

·        Promoteand expand the company’s commercial engagement by strategically planning clienttouchpoints and communication schedules to maximise potential for growth inorder to generate additional revenues and lead to sustainable growth.

·        Maintainquality data in CargoWise CRM relating to your allocated accounts in order toprovide best-in-class service and visibility. This includes accountability formaintaining rate levels, client intelligence records and ensuring accuracy ofclient facing data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nurture     and grow relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and     exceeded
  • Develop     and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and maximize     profitability
  • Focus     on retaining, growing and developing existing clients, together with     generating new business in line with KPI’s
  • Utilize     the CargoWise CRM system effectively for tracking, monitoring, reporting,     and strategically planning business opportunities.
  • Establish     and maintain client rates in CargoWise, promptly adjusting them to prevent     expiration
  • Oversee     data integrity and promptly alert operations managers to any discrepancies
  • Ensure     accurate client data management in CargoWise, consistently updating     information, and promptly responding to critical changes, such as     identifying and addressing at-risk clients.
  • Set     communication schedules and touchpoints for client accounts, with minimum     expectations of one client meeting per month and quarterly business     reviews

·        Playa key role in new business pitches and hold responsibility for the effectiveon-boarding of new clients.

·        Actas the key interface between the allocated customers and all relevantdepartments.

·        Resolvecustomer issues and complaints promptly to maintain trust and satisfaction

·        Proactivelyassess and validate customer needs, consistently striving to exceedexpectations

·        Maintainthe revenue and gross profit of each account, actively pursuing all additionalrevenue streams opportunities

·        Monitorcommercial performance using key metrics and reporting tools.

·        Understandthe value drivers of the business and identify profitable commercialopportunities to grow revenue and market share

·        Forseeindustry changes and implement strategic management to navigate transitionseffectively

·        Representthe company at external events such as networking events, conferences andexhibitions to enhance and strengthen the company’s profile and optimise allbusiness development opportunities

 

Our idealcandidate

·        Asuccessful and proven track record in a Key Account Management role or BusinessDevelopment role within a freight forwarding company is essential

·        Proficientcommunicator with excellent Interpersonal skills

·        Experiencein building relationships both externally and internally

·        Strongorganisation and time management skills to manage multiple accounts

·        Self-motivatedand result-orientated mindset

·        Asolid understanding of customer supply chains, particularly within the foodsector,  is desirable

·        Goodunderstanding of the current market and supply chain challenges

·        ExcellentTech skills in order to confidently sell our digital supply chain managementsolution

·        Strongstrategic thinking skills with the ability to plan long term business growthwith top clients

·        Outstandinganalytical skills with ability to conduct client data review and communicate tothe customer the value of our offerings both strategically and financially
